Mis-en-scene

Rose's costume is adorned in jewels which represents her class and financial situation which directly contrasts Jack's apparel of suspenders and a creased over shirt which is closely associated with lower class manual workers - people who rose would never usually associate with let alone kiss. The people standing in the background all have different types of costume, some dressed similar to Rose and some dressed similar to Jack perhaps indicating that societal stereotypes are not present where they are. The setting they are in is also very high class as the railings have gold ornaments on them and the surrounding wood is intricately carved, also presenting the idea that they are in a very expensive, lavish and high class setting - another thing that shows the contrast between Rose and Jack's life as this is a setting Rose would be used to but Jack would never see.

In the first scene the mis-en-scene includes a large number of trees, indicating that the setting is in a remote area. there is also a fence outlining the perimeter of the camp, leading to the interpretation that the inhabitants of the camp are hiding from something or someone. There are also a few run down houses and fruit plants that mean that the town is starting to thrive in a world that may not be so friendly.

However in the second clip the mis-en-scene is very domestic and homely, perhaps representing the only character in the clip's personality. The woman polishes expensive looking cutlery, indicating her high financial status. Her financial status could also be  represented by her costume, the pearl necklace and the apron, the apron signifying that she doesn't need to work,.

Blade Runner

This film is about the main characters presented on the poster rebelling against a futuristic leadership and possibly saving humanity. It is in the sci-fi genre with a possible sub-genre of film noir and romance. The target audience is young adults and older teenagers.













Scary Movie 2
This is a film about a group of young people who are being attacked by various iconic horror film characters. It is a horror spoof/parody film and it's target audience is young adults.









Uzak
This is a film that follows a man through his existential crisis after his wife leaves him. It is a foreign language drama with a target audience of adults. 





I'm Not Scared
This is a film about a boy who finds another boy inside of a hole whilst outside and tries to overcome his fears to help him. It is a coming of age/horror film that is aimed at older teenagers and young adults.

Sin City
This is a film about a group of people all caught up in the violence inside of their city who meet up and form a group to stop the violence. It is crime genre that is aimed towards adult audiences.

Pirates of the caribbean : Dead man's chest.
This is a film about a 2 pirates who go on an adventure to fight the supernatural character presented on the bottom of the poster. The lady on the poster causes some conflict as women are not allowed to be pirates and she wants to join her love on his quest. It is targeted towards the teenage audience and is in the adventure genre with sub-genres of comedy, romance and supernatural.


Bride & Prejudice.
This is a film about two people who fall in love and want to get married but their families do not approve but in the end they get married anyway. This is a romantic comedy filmed aimed at the young adult and adult audiences.






                     Million Dollar Baby
This is a film about a girl who wants to become a boxer but no one believes she can do it. She finds a trainer who is willing to help her and she becomes a professional and has to fight for a prize worth a million dollars. It is an action film for the young adult and adult audinces.
